Ok, after watching this presentation on Google’s Wave PRE-Alpha, I was left totally amazed. This is a MAJOR SHIFT in online communications… I may finally be able to throw away my Inbox! HURRAY! From instant collaborative communication to instant Language Translation TO the MANY references to Firefly/Serenity. Heck even the NAME of the Google Wave should sound familiar to us BrownCoats… WAVE… anybody? “I’ll send you a WAVE!”, “Mal, you have a Wave” When this has Instant Google Video Chat built in, then this is truly Firefly’s WAVE of the future! And with that it is game over for Skype, iChat, Adium, etc. I may even re-consider BaseCampHQ… and that says a LOT! But, wow, I was just awestruck by the potential power of Google Wave today. I signed up for a Sandbox account and hope to get it soon and see how it might just affect well… just about EVERYTHING about the internet!

ARRRGGHHH me hearty. Looks like Google is a’takin’ to the high seas! Thats right your “secure” Google Data afloat on the open ocean… Will they be building their Google Nation with their Google Navy run by their Google Terminators next? 😀 Should be interesting to see what happens here. But I know that if this begins, I will not continue using their services unless their Datacenters stay in the good ol’ US of A.

Looks like the Google Algorithm just got smarter as it is now able to traipse through Code to find very good information from Forums of all kind apparently. It can now pull the number of comments, the number of posts and the latest date from these pages. This is great to know and continues to prove to me just how important the FRESHNESS of a site actually IS to the Google Algorithm and your ranking in the index.

Just a quick note here that Google Analytics and Google Adsense are now integrated. Here is an article I found on it. It will give you tracking information now regarding pages with your ads. Should be good and hopefully this leads Google to finally unifying all accounts under one account, which will be very nice. More info here.

This is a really interesting article. The way this might work sounds really cool. Will this essentially be the Star Trek Computer where we can “talk” normally to it? Well I don’t think voice recognition is set up yet, but I can’t see it being too far behind if this REALLY works that well. I know on the iPhone that the Google App utilizes voice recognition with the Google Map to find stuff for you really quickly… this is pretty convenient when driving instead of having to type it all in. I think this Wolfram Alpha is the NEXT big thing for the internet folks! Stay Tuned!
