What SEO means in 2011…

Monday, July 18th, 2011

So what DOES SEO stand for anyway? 5 years ago I’d EASILY tell you it stands for Search Engine Optimization… but not any more…  SEO NOW stands for internet marketing strategist as there is just WAY MORE going on now than 5 years ago. Google Search is constantly adding (and subtracting) new stuff, Facebook is now uber-important, and Google Plus is on the way. 5 SEO Questions with Joe Laratro

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

I totally agree with Joe Laratro here! Having a website is not enough. Having a plan and working it consistently (daily!) is the REAL plan for SEO! A website has to be able to ALLOW for this to happen easily however… These recommendations are good, smart and solid for SEO.

Have a solid technical infrastructure that is search friendly

Have an ongoing content development plan to add new and useful content to the Web site

Have a link building plan in place: target directories, social media sites, and related Web sites

Been looking at this for a few months with some oddities appearing at the top of search that were flash files, now if only people with flash based sites would actually ADD more content then they might be in luck. There are many more little issues regarding this that a Flash programmer would want to know about. But, as you all know, I am NOT a FLASH person anyway, so it is not a big deal to me, but now I can at least instruct others on how to SEO their FLASH programming
