Ummm I know every time I get my FREE Yellow Pages books, we throw them away immediately… I really don’t know how much longer the yellow pages will survive… 5 years? 10 years? Or less? any opinions out there? We turn to Google for all of our searches, don’t you?

Happy Birthday to the .COM! Amazingly it has been 25 years this week! I would say it has been quite a good time had by all for the last 2 and a half decades! Can we imagine a world without email / Facebook / AOL / Twitter / Google? Not sure what our world would resemble without the internet… I think I would still be visiting my favorite pre-internet research place weekly – the public LIBRARY! Now here is the scary part… can anybody possibly fathom the growth of the internet in 25 years from now??!?! I’ll be enjoying the ride for sure!

INTERNET SPEED IS COMING!!! well… eventually in the future… at some point… and it is not exactly coming quickly… if I had to guess this will take at LEAST a decade… and of course by then… something better will have come along and replaced it while the federal government is still wasting all kinds of money on this “OLD PLAN” by then… can you say BOONDOGGLE?! Good grief… leave it to private enterprise and it will become so unbelievably fast!!!

This is a really interesting article. The way this might work sounds really cool. Will this essentially be the Star Trek Computer where we can “talk” normally to it? Well I don’t think voice recognition is set up yet, but I can’t see it being too far behind if this REALLY works that well. I know on the iPhone that the Google App utilizes voice recognition with the Google Map to find stuff for you really quickly… this is pretty convenient when driving instead of having to type it all in. I think this Wolfram Alpha is the NEXT big thing for the internet folks! Stay Tuned!

The end of the internet is NEAR! 2012 is coming!

Hmmmm apparently the internet is just about to boil over and will be done, cooked and al final. People are now scaring up new ways to market a new problem on the internet methinks. 2012 is looming as a disaster from some old dumb ancient calendar AND I think there is probably some bad movie coming out with the same name… The internet is the best thing and is growing on the back of the spread of capitalism around the world. WOW. Here comes really high speed internet folks! Check out this article about the GRID and how it will impact our daily life and the internet… This makes high speed feel like 14.4 baud modem speeds… actually the ratio is even greater than this cause this is true parallel cloud internet connections… literally dumbfounding when you thing about it… an entire 2 hour movie will download in 2 seconds!!! Whoa! Be on the lookout for the “GRID”over the next few years…
