This MIGHT work…  could be amazing… or it could be Orkut…  Facebook needs to pay attention to this! But only if it integrates Picasa!

Gmail is set to become Google’s next major push into social media. According to The Wall Street Journal, the popular webmail service will soon launch a new feature for sharing content and status updates with friends.

I’ve seen this someplace before…. hmmmm… I think it is in the Apple Address Book! Is Google just cherry picking ideas right from Apple?  I think so. But it is cool and helpful.

I have already enabled this. It is really cool when there is a really long thread in your email and you get about half way down and then the phone rings… happens to me all of the time!  With this, I can mark that I have read to this point so I can open it later and start where I left off!  LOVE IT!

There’s a new feature in Gmail Labs that will help with this. When you enable Mark Unread From Here from the Labs tab under Settings, you'll see a new “Mark unread from here” option in the drop down menu found in the upper right-hand corner of messages.

Definitely recommend getting this one if you use gmail at the online gmail interface! Helps to prevent you from sending a note to the wrong person!
