Are you in the KNOL?
Okay folks… this one is not just big… it is BIGNORMOUS! Google will be coming out with a Wikipedia killer called KNOL – short for knowledge. This one is going to really drive Wikipedia into an early grave… Be on the lookout for KNOL coming in the next year!

Why are you so convinced that Google will trump Wikipedia? Wikipedia has a huge head start, doesn’t it?

They do OBI, but the fact that Google holds all of the “playing cards” with now 71.5% of search, that when they decide to take on Wikipedia with an Adwordsy, Adsensey sort of direction, then I’d worry if I were Wiki. Right now, nobody makes any money with WIkipedia, but with the KNOL, Google is monetizing information research, and companies large and small will jump aboard to set up their own KNOL pages. Heck, I will! Wouldn’t you too?
